Hi! My name is Dani Gatewood and I am a recent graduate from the University of Central Missouri. I have a bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising and a minor in Business Administration. I am from Overland Park, Kansas and I've lived here all of my life! I've worked with local designers in the Kansas City area, and I've learned that the fashion industry is thriving in the city.

I write fashion blogs for The Urban Atlas. The Urban Atlas is a collection of bloggers that explore urban communities, highlighting the best up and coming brands, products and styles. The Urban Atlas is a blog that is owned and operated by Flagship Market, a community of early adopters who buy direct from independent brands to support fashion, culture and local economies. 

I create blogs with interesting content that is powered by real people and real lifestyles. I research and blog about different fashion, lifestyle and local trends on a daily basis. I post a new blog each week!

I interned with VintageKC Magazine over the summer of 2017, and I en​joyed every minute of it. I learned how to advertise and market the magazine on multiple social media platforms. I contributed to styling for the September fashion issue. I also helped coordinate The Local Runway fashion show, showcasing local Kansas City designers from start to finish. Working in a fast paced environment has never stopped me from doing what I love. Even if things get a little crazy at times, I'm ready to take on a challenge.

I've always believed in following your dreams, and my dream has always been to work in the fashion industry. My dream could take me anywhere. Maybe to Los Angeles someday! But for now, I'm a 23 year old who is trying to adult. I'm looking forward to stepping into the fashion world, and head towards a career path that best fits me. I'm ready to take on new experiences and learn more about the fashion industry.
